Full form of EBV DNA test is Epstein Barr Virus DNA Test. EBV test is done on the blood samples which is an effective technique to screen for nasopharyngeal cancer. The Epstein Barr Virus (EBV) infections generally develop in the early stage of life. Usually, most of the children by 10 years of age will be infected by this virus. The EBV infection is generally mild which causes minor illness. The EBV DNA - PCR test helps to detect this virus at an early stage and to monitor the infection.
